We believe it is critical to build a strong community awareness program involving significant communication and coordination with other churches, community organizations, businesses, and our citizenry to address our neighbors' needs.
Our plan includes developing a community task force to assess overall needs and addressing those needs in a collaborative effort.
Increased visibility in our community contributes to an awareness of those who will help us in ways we may not have anticipated–ways that will help us to become even more efficient and save costs on day-to-day activities.
If you are interested in helping increase the community awareness of our program, we want to hear from you.
SPREAD THE WORD
We need your help to develop an active, dedicated, well-trained volunteer corps that will enable Share the Table programs to continue to ease the burdens of hungry families as well as the obstacles they face.
We are always looking for those who can help with the community meals (setup, cooking, cleaning up), the food pantry (unloading, sorting, helping clients) and the backpack program (packing bags, delivery in the summertime).
Your donations are always appreciated and always in need. We would not have been able to handle the exponential growth we have seen without the generous monetary and food donations from people like you. Here are just a few ways people are helping us fight hunger in our area:
Monetary donations in person, by mail or online
Restaurants willing to sponsor, cook or serve our free community meals
Donations of nonperishable food from events, parties, etc.
